Connecting a device we don't support directly
PaceLab connects directly to Garmin Connect, and to Apple Healthfrom the iPhone app. If you train with something else, there's a good chance you can still reach us — most watch apps can mirror your workouts into Apple Health, and we read from there.
The short version
- Install the PaceLab app on your iPhone and let it connect to Apple Health.
- In your watch's own app, turn on writing workouts to Apple Health.
- Record a run. Once it lands in the Health app, it lands with us on the next sync.
Where the setting lives
These apps move their menus around, so treat this as a pointer rather than gospel — the setting is almost always somewhere under the app's profile or integrations screen.
- Polar — Polar Flow app → Settings → Apple Health → turn on Training data.
- COROS — COROS app → Profile → More Settings → Apple Health → allow Workouts and Heart Rate.
- Whoop — Whoop app → More → App Settings → Integrations → Apple Health.
- Fitbit — Fitbit does not write workouts to Apple Health directly — a third-party bridge is required, so support is partial.
- Suunto — Suunto app → Settings → Apple Health → enable writing workouts.
- Wahoo — Wahoo app → Profile → Apple Health → enable Workouts.
What you should expect
Be aware this route is a mirror, not a direct integration, and it's honestly a bit lossier:
- Laps and intervals may not survive the trip. Most apps write a single workout to Apple Health without the per-rep splits, so structured sessions can come through as one block. A direct Garmin connection keeps them.
- It needs an iPhone.Apple Health only exists on iOS, so this route doesn't help on Android or on the web.
- Only what the other app writes reaches us.If it doesn't mirror heart rate, we won't see heart rate.
- Duplicates are handled. If you connect both Garmin and Apple Health, Garmin stays the source of truth and your runs won't double-count.
Native support for your watch
Polar and COROS are on the roadmap as direct integrations. Until then the Apple Health route above is the supported path — and if your device isn't listed anywhere here, tell us and it'll count toward what we build next.
